This has been a year of growth for the transgender communities of Michigan and for Transgender Michigan. Some areas of growth include:
- This past year many new chapters of Transgender Michigan have been created such as Transgender Lansing and Transgender Flint as well as new affiliates.
- Collaboration of Michigan transgender groups has greatly increased.
- Many new support groups have been created around the state.
- Transgender Michigan events have been averaging over one hundred participants each.
- Many new events for Transgender Day of Remembrance took place in many parts of the state.
- More transgender individuals are now in leadership positions such as at Equality Michigan.
However we still have more areas where we can grow more such as:
- Providing more support for the homeless transgender.
- Providing more employment support and opportunities.
- Expanding our outreach to transgender with AIDS/HIV.
- Finding more funding for our many projects.
- Expanding outreach to colleges and universities.
- Expanding our speakers bureau.
